Alvin is a home-grown artist who recalls picking up a paintbrush long before chopsticks. He is often seen sketching in his travels, capturing moments, food, and thoughts in places he stepped foot on. In recent years, as he turned back to his own hometown for inspirations, he began uncovering unspoken stories one sketch at a time, telling real stories through watercolor of ordinary heroes whose lifetime of devotion weaves into the rise of Hong Kong and the rich cultural fabric that makes Hong Kong so uniquely Hong Kong. Each painting tells of a not-so-distant past and future, and the timeless struggle between progress and tradition, reality and ambition.
